It’s time to share our current foodie obsession: broccolini. We love how this broccoli doppelgänger pairs so nicely with a variety of dishes like beef roasts, lamb, fish, turkey, chicken and lasagna. With less time to cook than traditional broccoli, broccolini might be the new go-to veggie for you and your family!
Don’t Call Me Baby
Referred to a “baby broccoli,” broccolini is a cross between broccoli and gai-lan, a Chinese broccoli. Surprisingly, this hybrid vegetable tastes nothing like broccoli but rather is sweeter and nuttier. Rather than growing into large heads with thick stalks, broccolini grows in long, slender stalks and is topped with a small floret.
