Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Smoothie Saturday (second edition)! Of course, today’s smoothie had to be green. Green smoothies are a trend that doesn’t seem to be letting up, but I think there is a delicate balance between liquid vegetables and a tasty smoothie. In this recipe, the pineapple and ginger offset the bitterness of the greens, so it’s ultra-refreshing and nutrient-packed.
Tip: if you like your smoothies extra cold, add a handful of ice to the blender.
Green Machine Smoothie
Original # of Servings: 1
- plain greek yogurt – 1
- kale – 1 cup
- baby spinach – 1 ounce
- pineapple – 8 tablespoon
- ginger – 1 tablespoon
- water – 8 tablespoon
- Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
