A crockpot, also called a slow cooker, uses low temperatures to to cook food over a long period of time. If you’re asking why you would ever want a meal to take longer, I have an answer for you. This longer cook time is hands-free, so once you get all your ingredients in the pot, you can use that time to work, workout, or do anything else your heart desires.
Not only do slow cookers free up some time in your day, cooking food (especially meats) at low temperatures helps boost flavor and tenderness. Less work and more flavor — sounds too good to be true, right?
Ok, ready? I saved the best part for last. You can get a crockpot for under $20! We have plenty of recipes for you to try right here, just search the word “crockpot” and you’ll find a bunch of mouth-watering meals. I might even one of my favorites on the blog tomorrow.
